Changed My Mind
After some consideration and the fact that Blogspot won't support my examples, I've decided to just post any thoughts about the Franck Choral #3 strictly here without examples just for my own edification. My attempt to provoke some thought on how to approach the piece has... well, let's say... not worked. I shouldn't expect anyone to seriously consider my ideas (no matter how well thought), since I'm not "famous" or "established." So be it. If anyone IS interested in my thoughts you know to come here.

I'm reading your commentary with interest-- no time to drag out score and metronome till later in the week though. I would be interested in hearing you address 1) what organ you are imagining in you registration suggestions, since it's clearly not Ste Clothilde c. 1890, and 2) your thoughts on Tournemire's recording. I also wonder what you think of Bob Glasgow's recording-- he had very well thought out and detailed ideas about Franck, and his recording of Trois PIeces and the Chorals (although he professed himself to be unsatisfied with it) shows the fruits of decades of thought and study.
